Sport Facilities XXI Century

A new lease on life for a well-known spot. Check out how Pisz has transformed its skatepark!

A well-known spot in Pisz has just been given a whole new lease on life! We’ve completed a comprehensive renovation of the local skatepark. This project perfectly illustrates how a well-planned investment—with the proper use of external funding—can completely transform the city’s recreational space.

How to Plan a Budget Wisely and Secure Funding

A project worth over 1.84 million PLN is excellent proof that local governments today have powerful tools to support municipal sports. The municipality of Pisz successfully secured funding for this purpose from the nationwide Sports Infrastructure Development Program (2025 edition), supported by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism and the Marshal’s Office of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship.

We carried out the project as part of a consortium. We provided our specialized expertise and equipment, while a trusted local partner—Przedsiębiorstwo Drogowo-Mostowe Sp. z o.o. from Pisz—handled the comprehensive construction support.

Modular technology built to last

We designed and built the skatepark in Pisz with a focus on maximum flow and users of varying skill levels. We opted for our flagship modular “Prestiż” variant—we covered the riding surfaces of the obstacles with durable HPL laminate, which guarantees excellent traction and long-lasting durability.

We carefully planned the facility and divided it into functional zones:

Quarter pipe connected to a bank ramp: A set of obstacles with a total width of over 20 meters, which not only lets you build up speed for the rest of the park but also offers extensive opportunities for tricks, grinds, and stalls.

Main platform: A multifunctional funbox with angled rails, grindboxes, and a pyramid; an additional funbox with a grindbox and a rail; plus a long grindbox connected to a street wall (1.8 m high) and a quarter pipe for spin tricks.

Additional platform: A lower funbox with a grindbox and rail, additional grindboxes, and a 4-meter pipe—an ideal area for practicing technical grinds, manuals, and runs.

Modular pump track: An addition to the skatepark featuring a bike track on a steel structure, allowing riders to extend their run by an extra lap or practice time trials.

Safety and Modern Infrastructure

This project represents a complete revitalization. In addition to installing the sports features themselves, the project included a complete overhaul of the pedestrian walkways and, most importantly, the installation of modern lighting and surveillance systems. As a result, Pisz now offers professional training equipment, but above all, a fully safe and welcoming meeting place for young people, open even after dark.

Congratulations to the Municipality of Pisz on its excellent approach to this project!
