Sport Facilities XXI Century

Ostrołęka has Poland's first concrete skatepark with built-in LED lighting

The new Techramps concrete skatepark in Ostrołęka is much more than just a place to practice extreme sports. It’s an innovative urban space that proves modern infrastructure can go hand in hand with excellent design. We’re handing over a massive complex to users: a 1,100 m² professional skatepark and a 340 m² pump track. The biggest highlight? It’s Poland’s first concrete skatepark with built-in LED lighting!

Modernity that sets an example (literally!)

The skatepark in Ostrołęka is a true breakthrough on the Polish sports infrastructure scene. It is the first in the country to be equipped with striking LED lighting built directly into the obstacles. Thanks to this, the facility not only takes on an incredible, futuristic atmosphere after dark, but also extends the time users can skate safely and comfortably.

For city officials and architects, this is perfect proof that modern skateparks are high-quality infrastructure that seamlessly and aesthetically complements public spaces. The facility in Ostrołęka, despite its thoroughly modern character, was designed with great respect for its surroundings. Its low, horizontal form fits perfectly into the existing park. Surrounded by green embankments and slopes, the facility does not obstruct sightlines, becoming a distinctive feature of the revitalized recreational space.

Functionality and smooth riding. Three dedicated sections of the skatepark

Let’s get down to specifics, because there’s a lot going on right on the deck itself! The skatepark was designed in a shape resembling the letter “Z,” based on the “flow” concept . This means a layout that allows for smooth, long lines of runs without the need for constant pushing off. The deck has been divided into three carefully designed zones:

  • Advanced STREET Section: Inspired by real urban architecture. This is where you’ll find features like bank ramps and a quarter pipe with concrete coping. The heart of the zone is the main platform with curved rails, stairs with a profiled rail, and manual pads. Particularly noteworthy are the angled grindboxes and the Barcelona feature, finished with granite slabs and coping, and the whole setup is complemented by a wallride connected to a quarter pipe.
  • Intermediate Section: A zone designed for progression. It features a Quarter Pipe run-up with an innovative sphere for stalls and jumps. There’s also a massive Funbox with bent rails and kickers for jumps over the sphere. The line is complemented by a Satellite connected to a Manual Pad, a London Gap, and a Barcelona, and is capped off by a Bank Ramp with a Wallride.
  • Jump Section: Perfect for fans of high jumps and aerial tricks. It consists of a Quarter Pipe for speed, a Spin Ramp with a pump, and another ball for jumps. The highlight is the Jumpbox section with three different heights, and a Quarter Pipe turn section with a Wallride ensures a smooth return.

Pumptrack – a dynamic addition

The concrete slab is complemented by a modern pump track with an area of approximately 340 m². It features right- and left-hand berms, pumps, and jumpboxes. The track is very dynamic, yet versatile enough to cater to both advanced cyclists and the youngest riders taking their first steps on balance bikes. It’s the perfect intergenerational space.

Get inspired!

Ostrołęka has shown that investing in sports infrastructure is an investment in residents’ quality of life, aesthetics, and the development of urban space. Poland’s first LED skatepark is proof that it’s worth investing in bold, modern projects that attract and bring together the local community.
