How to build a pumptrack? Having your own area for your favorite physical activity is probably the dream of many a Rider, regardless of age. As it turns out, this dream is at your fingertips and you can make it come true quite soon by considering a modular bike track, or so-called Pumptrack. HOW PUMPTRACKS WERE CREATED?The inspiration for the creation of pumptracks were tracks designed for BMX riding, having a designated beginning and end, popular especially in the 1970s and 1980s. The creation of the first such facilities is credited to Australian mountain bikers, who were the first to construct wild tracks dug into the ground in the early 2000s. To date, there have already been wooden pumptracks, concrete pumptracks, and more recently, modular tracks - composite tracks - have begun to gain popularity. These tracks, due to their public accessibility, ease of installation and the ability to adjust the size/length to individual needs, appear in public spaces "like mushrooms after the rain," and more and more often they are also decided by private individuals wishing to invest in the creation of their own small sports infrastructure. PUMPTRACK IN THE GARDEN - FOR WHO?1. ChildrenPumptrack is a dream place for children. Especially when nowadays people, especially children, increasingly do not lead a healthy lifestyle spending a lot of time at the computer or television, "pumping" on the pumptrack can encourage them to be more physically active.2. AdultsPumptrack is also a sports facility that positively affects physical health and interpersonal relationships, and thus mental health. In addition, people who practice sports are less likely to fall into addictions to alcohol and other drugs, as they are more likely to devote their free time to developing passions and healthy sports. WHERE TO START?1. Choosing a trackStart by looking around your garden and measuring the area you want to develop for installing a pumptrack. Depending on the space you have, you will be able to decide which model of track built with modules will be suitable for you.You can choose from many different models of track, depending on your needs and preferences. Currently on the market there are pumptracks of various shapes and sizes tailored to train motor coordination and sense of balance. Specially designed pumptrack technology gives the possibility to change the configuration of the track and expand it with new modules.Once you have chosen and ordered a pumptrack, it's time for its installation! 2 AssemblyThe assembly of the pumptrack is probably the easiest thing in the whole endeavor, it consists in assembling the modules according to the instructions (just like in IKEA). Assembly of such a facility is not complicated - for example, the assembly, in the form of a four-person skilled team, of the PC1 track takes 4 to 6 hours. You can always invite friends or family to help, the more people the faster you will go!3. And.... the last stage - "Pumping" This track consists of hills and inclined turns, which allow you to ride the bike without pedaling - in the so-called "pumping" system.See how to pump in the video below:
